Who We Are

My name is Dawn Chartrand. I've been a resident of Fort Mc Murray for 46 years. I completed my journeyman cooks certificate right here at Keyano College over 26 years ago. At that same time, I also acquired my food safe & sanitation certificate. AHS certified, all commercial insurances, pro serve &  RMWB certified ( license) .  We have also been on the Syncrude's approved vendor list since 2016. We keep current with the latest restrictions, pertaining to covid 19. ALL covid restrictions/protocols will be followed at all times as per AHS guidelines. Please do not hesitate to call , text or email if you would like further information on the background of who we are and what we do.

We at Northern Light Lunches Catering strive to go above & beyond to accommodate your requests to the best of our abilities. Northern light Lunches Catering also gives back to the community in various ways. Such as sports teams sponsors, school lunch programs, Give away  Oil Barons tickets & concession voucher ( Oil Barons fan of the game) for every home game, food bank drives,  meals donated to various teams, etc. We don't do this for accolades or to be noticed. We do it because we truly care for our city, community, this place we've called home for 46 years and counting.

Northern Light Lunches Catering has proudly sponsored the Oil Barons for over 5 years & counting. Whether it being a bbq steak dinner, pizza & wing nights, breakfasts ,gatorade & even bagged candy for their road trips. 

HUMBOLT BRONCOS​​ FUNDRAISER

April/ 14th/2018- Northern Light Lunches Catering along with Jemco Electric Ltd, Chartrand Body Works, The Casman Centre along with countless other businesses & volunteers held a family day/skate to raise funds for the families/victims of that horrific bus crash that killed 16 people. The hockey world had come to a stop on that fateful day. I am proud to say, not only did my staff work for free that day, Northern Light Lunches donated 100% of sales that day for a total of $3917. My husband  drove the cash down personally along with the flowers, shirt & banner in above pictures.

The 16 green hockey pucks in above picture was made by my son. We proudly leave them displayed on the display case at the concession, along with former Fort McMurrayite Parker Tobin's jersey. As long as Northern Light Lunches is operating out of the Casman Centre/ Centrefire Place, that is will they will remain. We will never forget!

Jr. Oil Barons 2017/2018

Northern Light Lunches proudly sponsors a team or 2 each season for the past number of years. It truly is satisfying to see these young players each year excel and strive.

FORT MC MURRAY GIANTS 2018

Yes, Northern Light Lunches also supports other local teams. The Fort McMurray Giants have enjoyed a few donated meals over the past few years. We are also PROUD to say that Jessica Chartrand ( our daughter) of Chartrand Body Works has been their team trainer/ RMT/MOT since day 1 of the Giants!

Yorkton Cardinals 2019​

The Yorkton Cardinals team of 2019. This amazing team drove themselves up to Fort McMurray in their own vehicles & without their coach. They did not want to forfeit the games. Does that just not say it all? Well, once again when the word got out...MANY members of our fabulous city pitched in. One individual bought the team a steak dinner, a pizza party &  another filled up all their vehicles with gas. We at Northern light Lunches & Jessica Chartrand ( team trainer/ RMT/MOT for the Giants) pitched in and fed them a buffet lunch, a bagged lunch for the road and some got massage/injury treatments. This is why we LOVE YMM
